Xonar Technology Inc. Names Greg Freiberg As President & Chief Development Officer

LARGO, Florida – Xonar Technology Inc., pioneer of an advanced weapons detection system, has named Greg Freiberg as President and Chief Development Officer.

Freiberg’s appointment was announced as Xonar® is launching its next-generation contactless security screening system, Xonar TruePort™. Leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence, Xonar is uniquely positioned to empower security personnel with state-of-the-art screening technology that maximizes throughput and accuracy while minimizing human error. The company is ramping up for mass-production early in 2024.

Prior to joining Xonar, Freiberg was Managing Director at Island Capital Group, a $5 billion private equity and special situations firm. Before Island Capital Group, Freiberg worked at Coatue Management, a $60+ billion technology focused hedge fund and private equity platform. He also worked at Perry Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Freiberg graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

The National Center for Spectator Sports and Security (NCS4) evaluated Xonar TruePort’s ability to detect concealed weapons. The evaluation matrix covered a wide area of functions, including weapon detection, speed of detection, placement detection, alerts, wireless interface, event reporting, outcome reporting, and user interface. The overall composite score of 2.93, out of a possible 3.00, showed that all capabilities were successfully demonstrated.
